I like flip flop sandals. I wear them as many times as possible, even the rain doesn’t bother me at all and in the place I live it rains a lot, but I don’t care.
They are so easy to wear, you put your feet in them and go. My feet are loving this feeling of freedom, open air and comfort. They give you a no nonsense look and as long as I don’t walk around with dirty, smelly feet and or ugly nails who will care. And you know, everyone can choose his or her own style, suiting his or her clothing, length, longing to look sexy or just the opposite.
However I do like many kinds of flip flop sandals, I do have favourite ones as well. They are giving me some extra fashion look and, very important, adding some more height. They are the wedge flip flops: and I mean not the ones with the stiletto heels, but rather a wedge, extending my legs a little and giving me some more sex appeal. So I prefer the ‘thong’ sandals with the slight heels
You can walk easily in them and add that sexy height. Also when you wear skirts or shorts you will look nice and well dressed, only not with high heels, that will look terrible. And that will be the same with wearing any dressier clothing. To wear neat clothing like business people do, together with flip flops is just looking out of place. That is the one thing you really need to avoid when you wear flip flops, and that is; being dressed more or less like a princess or a prince and to wear flip flops. Flip flop sandals are for people in a special state of mind. I mean the openness of the shoe can reflect the openness of the owner or at least it can be a stimulating thing to be more open and less rigid in opinions and so. Every time I met someone wearing flip flops I can feel some looseness, or lack of rigidity.
Flat or thick soled, you can wear any kind of thong sandal with shorts or jeans. It all depend in what way you will feel comfortable. Some people indeed prefer flip flops at all times. And some prefer flat sandals or flat shoes. And why is this: they just feel themselves more comfortable that way. There are also people wearing flip flops as house slippers around the house, slip them on before heading out of the house and not just for summertime only. It can be wet and windy, but you make yourself ridicules when you are wearing them during snowy periods. Somewhere there are limits.
